This program will only fund financially viable NSW community-based and charity/not-for-profit organisations, including:
Incorporated community associations
Community trusts
Registered not-for-profits/charities
Social enterprises.
National organisations are eligible to apply, however the project must be implemented in NSW , and must be delivered by a NSW-based office .
To be funded under the Community Road Safety Grants, your organisation must:
be incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) or The Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW) (the Act) and the Associations Incorporation Regulation 2016 (NSW)
have a current Australian Business Number (or have proof you have applied for one) that is not for a commercial entity or an individual.
Please confirm this application meets the Program eligibility criteria:
It has been prepared by and is being submitted by an eligible applicant
Is specific to a NSW Local Government Area
The project may commence once the contract has been signed by both parties (the Grantee and Transport) and must be completed by 30 November 2027.
The project may continue to operate and be maintained beyond the funding period; however, all grant funds must be fully expended by 30 November 2027 unless a written extension request has been submitted and approved by Transport.
Applicant will notify Transport if grant funding is secured from another source
